My second (and more difficult) set of exams starts next week, and I’m constantly panicking about how I’m going to submit my notebooks and projects, complete my syllabus in time, and understand and memorize everything for the exams. Yes, it’s a wonderful life. I just love 11th grade!!! (*Stabs textbook violently with plastic fork. Fork breaks*)
On the bright side, the awesome Alys from Alys in Bookland tagged me on the Get To Know Ya book tag! So come on, learn more about me (and my books)!
1. Favourite Book of All Time
Why?! Why would you ask me my favourite book of all time? That’s literally the most difficult question ever! (*sighs in despair*)Okay, let me tell you about my current favourite book – One of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus. It’s a brilliant murder mystery; you should definitely go check it out!
2. Favourite Book Five Years Ago
My favourite book when I was eleven? Well, that’s a no-brainer. I got the entire Harry Potter series (with the Flourish and Blotts box) on my eleventh birthday, so yeah. It’s definitely the Harry Potter series!!! All the books, I can’t choose one!
3. Favourite Duology/Trilogy/Series
Hunger Games ft. some beautiful badges I own
Wow, so we’re back to the difficult questions. Okay then I’m gonna treat this as three different questions. My favourite duology is Flawed and Perfect by Cecelia Ahern, trilogy is The Hunger Games, and series is The Mortal Instruments (apart from Harry Potter, of course)!
4. Last Book I Read
The last book I read was My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga, which I finished reading day before yesterday. It’s a really good book, y’all should give it a try!
5. Last Poetry Book I Read
I don’t really read poetry, so the last poem I read was Laburnum Top, a poem in my English textbook. Yay studies!
6. A Book That Influenced My Life
Matilda by Roald Dahl. I loved how Matilda started reading from a very young age. Not only that, she defied some horrible figures of authority, helped her friends and most importantly, stayed humble despite everything.
7. A Book That Made Me Ugly Cry
That’s a lot of books – I cried when Sirius died, when Fred died, when Augustus died. But the most recent book that made me cry was All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. (*sniffs*) Read it if you haven’t!
8. A Book That Made Me Laugh
That’s all the books by David Walliams! He writes really funny books for children, so if you want to relax and have a light read, his books are perfect!
9. A Character I’d Like To Be For A Day
Just one? Nope, not possible. I cannot choose between Hermione and Annabeth. They’re both extraordinarily smart, pretty and dangerous.
10. A Book So Good I Dreamt About It
Anddddd, I nominate Harry Potter for the third time!!! I’ve dreamt of walking in the Great Hall, dueling in the Forbidden Forest, and sitting in the Transfiguration classroom. If only dreams came true in real life!
11. A Book I DNF’d
That’s easy – The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s an unpopular opinion, but I just could not finish that book! I had to struggle to reach even halfway, and I hadn’t understood a single word. I still don’t know what the plot is.
12. A Book I’m Excited To Read
Um. Every single book in my TBR?! To pick one, I’d say Caraval by Stephanie Garber. It’s a very hyped book with great reviews and a crazy amount of excitement coming from everywhere! Caraval, here I come!
I’m not going to tag anyone in particular for this tag, but feel free to do it if you want to! Make sure to either comment here or pingback to my post so I can see your answers!
I’m gonn do this.

I hope you enjoy Caraval! It is definitely one of my favourites of all time. Also, ah! I wouldn’t be able to choose between Hermione and Annabeth, either!
