The President is Missing by Bill Clinton and James Patterson

Sooooo, I may have lied a little when I said that I hadn’t read any new books this year. I assure you, that wasn’t intentional.

Anyways, I read this phenomenal book called The President is Missing by a phenomenal author, James Patterson. I hope I’ve given this book the review it deserves. Okay, let’s not keep you from this absolute treasure any longer.
Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Title: The President is Missing

Author: James Patterson, Bill Clinton

Genre: Crime, Mystery

Page count: 513

“If you don’t do something to turn things around, something dramatic, the senators in your party will jump ship. And I know you won’t resign. It isn’t in your DNA. Which means President Jonathan Lincoln Duncan will be remembered in history for one thing and one thing only. You will be the first President forcibly removed from office.”

President Jonathan Duncan is currently the most important man in the United States of America. Which is why the country is in an uproar when the President goes missing. The media is making wild speculations, but what is the truth?
The truth is that the President knows a secret that could lead to crippling blow for his country. Unless he does something about it. But what the enemy doesn’t know is that the President can go to any length to save his country, and what’s more, that he will.

My Thoughts:

“With details only a President could know, and the kind of suspense only James Patterson can deliver.”

Merlin, this book is SO amazing, I finished it in three hours!
This was the first time that I actually understood the importance of the President’s cabinet.
And the secret the President knows is so staggering, it’s unbelievable. It’s unbelievable to think that the destruction of a superpower could be handled by one man. That USA’s fate could be decided by the click of a button. That an entire country could be brought to it’s knees by a computer virus.
And the plot twists… wow. I’m not going to lie, I suspected the actual traitor all along (I’m not going to mention the name here), but the elaborate-ness of the plot was absolutely stunning. This is a book that will keep you on your toes, all right. It will make you forget that there is world outside the President’s. But then again, I expect nothing less from James Patterson.
Aaaand, I’m going to stop here before I give in to the temptation of revealing the entire story.

THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ. If you haven’t read this book, read it. Now. Any time is a lovely time to read it, and it doesn’t matter what age youΒ  are. Just pick it up, and read it. I promise you it’s worth the trouble.

Have you read this book? Which bit did you like the best? Do you know of any other books like this one? Let me know!
