Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare

Hullo bookworms!!

I know it’s been quite a long time since I last posted, and it probably will be a long time until I post again. I’ve come to realise that studies (literally) never end in 10th grade.

With that out of the way, Lady Midnight is the most interesting book I’ve read recently, and I think that whoever hasn’t read it yet definitely needs a little encouragement to pick it up and open the first page. All right then, time to read!

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

Title: Lady Midnight

Author: Cassandra Clare

Genre: Fantasy

'Lady Midnight' book cover

Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn are considered to be THE parabatai. They grew up together, fought in the same war, even lost their parents together. They’ve always told each other everything. Until now.

Many years ago, in the war, Emma’s parents were killed, with mysterious writings found on their bodies. Years later, it seems that the killer has struck again. Shadowhunter and fey bodies are found, drained of blood and bodies covered with the same writings as on her parents’ bodies.

This is Emma’s chance for revenge and she will take it. The question is, will she find the murderer before the murderer finds her? As Emma investigates the killings with her parabatai, what chilling secrets will she uncover? What has the Clave been hiding all these years? Who really killed her parents- and can she bear to know the truth?

My Thoughts:

This book is a real thriller and anyone who’s up for a bit of mystery and fantasy should read it. The amazing twists and turns in the plot will keep you hooked. I promise you, you will love this book once you open it. The only problem with the book is, it gets over after the last page.

My Rating:

5 on 5

That’s it for today!! I hope you enjoyed the review. If you haven’t read the book, please do! If you liked this post or have any suggestions, please comment.
